If you're looking for authentic Thai food at Orchard, Fi Woodfire Thai brings a bold, modern wood-fired twist to classic Thai cuisine at Shaw Centre, right in the heart of Orchard Road.
Fi (pronounced ‘fai’) means “fire” in Thai — and fire is at the heart of everything we do. Taking centre-stage in our kitchen is a double-ventilated charcoal oven fuelled by Binchō-tan, known as the king of charcoal, and paired with aromatic lychee wood.
Most of our dishes are quite literally kissed by fire, emerging smoky, juicy and deeply flavourful — a signature taste you won’t find elsewhere when dining for Thai food at Orchard.
The centrepiece is our wood-fired charcoal oven, the engine behind a menu that feels contemporary yet rooted. Expect deftly balanced flavours, clean presentation, and a gentle smokiness that signals the hand of flame. We’re a Thai restaurant in Orchard designed for the area’s rhythm: weekday lunches for nearby offices; convivial evenings for friends, family, and pre-theatre diners.
Charcoal character: lychee wood, controlled heat, honest ingredients.
Orchard convenience: Shaw Centre parking, Orchard MRT access.
Warm service: a relaxed team, quick turns at lunch, unhurried at dinner.

Our menu was developed after two intensive weeks in Bangkok for research and development, paying homage to authentic Thai cuisine while presenting each dish with a fresh perspective.
Highlights include:
Papaya Som Tum
A refreshing Thai classic with crisp green papaya, lime juice, fish sauce, peanuts and Thai chillies — the perfect start to your Thai food at Orchard experience.
‘Moo Ping’ Smoked Pork Ribs
Succulent bone-in ribs marinated in Fi’s signature spice blend, slow-cooked and finished in our charcoal oven until tender and smoky.
Tom Yum Soup – Seafood or Mushroom
Fragrant, spicy broth infused with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal and Thai chillies.
Crispy Chicken Ribs
Golden, crunchy exterior with juicy meat inside — best enjoyed with an ice-cold beer.
Grilled French Poulet
Tender GG French Poulet grilled over charcoal and served with chicken liver jaew.
The journey begins with a commitment to preserving the rich flavours and diversity of Thai culinary traditions while adding a unique touch—Fi's double-insulated wood fire oven, reaching up to 450 degrees Celsius. This oven imparts a smoky and juicy flavour to every dish, creating a distinctive culinary experience.
